 our gallery spaces

nestled in Cooperstown village hall

The CAA galleries offer a breathtaking atmosphere for exhibitions, classes and special events. Whether you are planning to exhibit with us or you'd just like to know more about the CAA, below you will find some images and a little background describing this fantastic space.

Picture
The Front Porch & Lawn

Home to many of our special events here at the CAA, including the Fine Arts on the Lawn and the Pumpkin Glow, the front porch and lawn offer a beautiful view of the exquisite architecture of the Village Hall at 22 Main Street. During our annual National Exhibition, a catered reception and awards presentation is held on the front porch. In addition to hosting special events the lawn also occasionally features outdoor sculptural pieces that rotate throughout the year.

Gallery Shop

The Gallery Shop at the Cooperstown Art Association is a fun, convenient place to shop local and support the arts.  This hidden gem features unique, original artwork, jewelry, pottery, décor and more made by our talented Member Artists.  There’s always something new to see so stop in often!  The Gallery Shop opens in March along with An Artistic Discovery and runs through the end of October.

Gallery A:
The Augusta Clark Room

Gallery A is named in honor of Augusta Clark and is the CAA's main exhibition space. Being the largest of the downstairs galleries, Gallery A boasts several skylights which provide a bright and airy atmosphere for exhibition. Gallery A hosts the Annual Fenimore Quilt Show, Artistic Discovery: The Congressional Art Show for area High School Students, our Regional and National Exhibitions, and the
Holiday Show and Sale.

Gallery B:
The Henry S.F. Cooper Room

Gallery B, named in honor of Henry S.F. Cooper, provides a more intimate setting for exhibition. Being smaller than Gallery A and our Gallery Shop, this space is the perfect size for solo shows & small group shows. Gallery B also houses pieces from the Annual Fenimore Quilt Show, Our National Exhibition, and the Holiday Show and Sale.

Gallery C: The Ballroom Gallery

Gallery C, the largest of the CAA's galleries is located upstairs from Galleries A & B. Gallery C is also partially lit by skylights and it offers a luxurious location for special events and exhibitions alike. Gallery C shows around four shows a year including the Cooperstown Central School Exhibition, The Leatherstocking Brush and Palette Club Show and a portion of our National Exhibition. Many of the CAA's special events also take place in Gallery C such as Spring Cleaning and the Adorn-A-Door Wreath
Festival.

Nice To Meet You!
