Adorn-A-Door has grown into a community tradition that proudly showcases local talent and generosity. This fundraiser is held annually, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and includes a silent auction, raffles and plenty of holiday cheer! The CAA provides live wreaths to participants, who then decorate and donate them back to be sold in the silent auction. Local organizations & businesses often include gift certificates & merchandise to 'adorn' their wreath, while individuals use this as a chance to flex their creative muscles or make it a family project! The "Dinner's On Us" Raffle includes gift certificates to 7 different local eateries with a value of $400, making it a very popular and competitive draw! 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser support the Cooperstown Art Association, particularly our CAA Art Scholarship Fund. |

Radiant Edges
A solo Show
By Regina B. Quinn
September 30 - October 28, 2022 | Gallery A
Radiant Edges... Rooted in my deep connection to the natural world, my paintings are an expression of my love and sense of stewardship for the fragile balance that allows life to thrive on this planet. Frequently featuring the northern landscape at the edges of day, rarely based on specific locations, my work is a synthesis of experiences, observations, imperfect memories. My paintings invite viewers to stay closely connected to the natural world and, thus, to all living things and to one another. Regina B Quinn is an encaustic artist who lives and paints in the Northern Catskills after three decades in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. While her career encompasses painting, photography, ceramics, printmaking, and theatrical set design and painting, she now focuses more fully on encaustics and writes: “I was struck by the luminosity and subtlety of Doug and Mike Starn’s encaustics in 2014, and immediately sensed that encaustic was my medium—one that could give voice to my aesthetic, my sensibility, and my quiet personality…I haven’t looked back.” |

"before dawn: first light animals of new york state"
by mike reynolds
April 08 - May 11, 2022 | Gallery B
“Waiting on Dawn” by Mike Reynolds, in Gallery B, is a photographic collection of the animals in our region that are most easily observed in the hours just after sunrise. Some of the animals featured in this collection, such as the North American River Otter and Fisher are sometimes very difficult to locate, photograph, and/or observe. All photographs were taken in the Otsego county region of New York State, but many of these animals can be observed throughout the northeast and North America. All photographs are of wild animals that inhabit our region of NY and none have been bated or harmed in any way. These images were chosen because the animals featured are sometimes less visible to the casual observer. This collection is meant to show what anyone can see if they slow down a bit, wake before dawn, and enjoy the silence of early morning in the forest.
Mike Reynolds is an amateur wildlife photographer and Cooperstown, NY native, residing locally with his wife Marcie Foster and daughter Adelaide Reynolds. Mike began to find his love of photography after graduating college in 2009 and working at Historic Hyde Hall. Part of his weekly tasks were photographing artifacts, collections, and historic structures. Most recently, he has found a passion for wildlife photography, the peacefulness of the forest and reconnection to nature he enjoyed so much as a child. When not in the woods and tracking down animals, Mike can be found riding bikes and running his bicycle shop (Woodland Cycles in Milford, NY) that he has owned and operated since 2014.
