Made in New York
showcasing the best fine craftspeople In new york!
The CAA reserves the coveted August/September time-slot for one of our most popular shows of the year, Made in New York! On even years, you can expect to find all manner of ceramics, fiber arts, woodworking, jewelry, glass and more, usually tuned to a different theme each year. Odd years are dubbed "The Art of Wood", and we invite fine woodworkers from across the state to exhibit their tables, chairs, wood-turnings, carvings and everything in between.
This year's exhibit follows our biennial tradition of displaying "The Art of Wood"... devoted entirely to woodworking, including both functional and nonfunctional creations made with local and exotic woods. Featuring local and regional artisans and craftspeople, this year’s exhibit will likely include turned and carved items, sculpture, furniture, lighting, jewelry, vessels and more!
Unlike our juried shows, this exhibit is an invitational and is not open to everyone. We take care to invite artisans that display a mastery of their chosen craft to build an exhibit with a wide assortment of techniques and styles. But we are always on the look out for new and talented craftspeople, so reach out to us if you'd like to learn more about this exhibit!
