The Central New York Watercolor Society will be presenting their Annual Members-Only Juried Exhibition in Gallery A, on display from September 29 – October 27, 2023. This exhibit features selected works by both Signature and Associate members of the society and the Opening Reception will be an opportunity to not only view the watercolor paintings but also meet and interact with artists from the society. The juror of this year’s exhibit is Ken Call. Ken is a Signature member of The American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Missouri Watercolor Society, Montana Watercolor Society, and Master Signature member of The Transparent Watercolor Society of America and Illinois Watercolor Society.
Started in the living rooms of just a handful of local watercolor painters from the Mohawk Valley, it has grown to almost two hundred members and includes artists from several other states. The mission of the Central New York Watercolor Society is to encourage the advancement of watercolor painting. For the past three decades, members have been working to improve their skills and promote the art of watercolor through exhibitions, lectures and demonstrations. The annual juried exhibit showcases the very best work of the accomplished and talented membership.
