During many of the Annual Exhibits at the CAA we ask the public to honor what they deem to be the strongest piece in the show. Visitors are asked to vote for their favorite piece in these exhibits to determine the winner of each show's Viewer's Choice Award.
The CAA annually displays the Cooperstown Quilt Show sponsored by the Fenimore Quilt Club. This show, held each February, is one of the largest and longest running quilt shows in the region displaying approximately 100 quilts and quilted items of all types each year.

“An Artistic Discovery” is a high school art competition held within the 24th Congressional District by county. Select students go on to exhibit at Munson - Williams - Proctor Art Institute School of Art Gallery joined by students from Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Oneida, Ontario, Seneca, Tioga and Tompkins Counties.

“Essential Art”, the annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition, open only to artists residing in New York State, celebrates the talents of local and regional artists. The Regional typically displays 75 artists working in a variety of mediums, showing a truth breadth of artistic expertise present in New York.

The annual National Juried Art Exhibition is open to artists working in all mediums residing in the United States. The show encompasses a wide range of media including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. With entries from across the Nation, the show is always both eclectic and stimulating.
