Otsego Lake Festival

The Cooperstown Art Association annually presents the exhibit “Art of the Lake” at the Otsego Lake Festival on location at Lake Front Park in Cooperstown during the month of July. This outdoor exhibit features area artists who, in their own unique style, draw their inspiration from scenic Otsego Lake! Appropriately, a percentage of all sales goes toward keeping the lake clean and beautiful!

Fine Arts on the Lawn

Fine Arts on the Lawn is a two day show and sale of artwork that is open to the public on the front lawn and porch of the Village Library Building. The show will consist of 10 - 15 fine artists' tents on the front lawn accompanied by member work displayed on the porch. It has become a Labor Day weekend tradition in the area, and every year through this event, we strive to draw the artistic community back to Main Street. If you are interested in participating, you can download the prospectus here when it becomes available in the late spring.

“Pumpkin Glow”

Every October the CAA invites the community to bring their carved and decorated pumpkins and add them to the annual “Pumpkin Glow” on the front porch and lawn of the CAA. Year after year, we strive to make this luminous display bigger and more beautiful! Groups and organizations are also welcome and encouraged to contribute their pumpkins. The event always includes plenty of ghostly goodies donated by the CAA and local businesses along with festive decorations and activities to get you in the Halloween Spirit.

“Adorn-A-Door” Wreath Festival

The “Adorn-a-Door” wreath festival, held every year in late November has grown into a much-anticipated community tradition showcasing local talent and generosity. The CAA provides a plain balsam wreath, if requested, to anyone who signs up and wishes to participate. The participant decorates the wreath in the manner he or she chooses, be it traditional, artistic or by using gift certificates and merchandise advertising a business. There are no limitations on theme, so the possibilities are endless! After the wreaths are decorated, they are donated to the CAA where they will be sold via silent auction.

All proceeds raised from “Adorn-a-Door” will go directly to the Cooperstown Art Association with a portion going toward our ongoing Art Scholarship Program for high school seniors. Expect a wide variety of themes and styles from traditional to eccentric! This festive holiday event is open to the public and includes seasonal treats and local musical talent throughout the day.
