2 010 Fenimore Quilt Show The Cooperstown Art Association proudly presents the 20th Annual Fenimore Quilt Club Show which opens Saturday, February 6 and runs through Sunday, February 21. Please note that this year the Quilt Show will be on display in our upstairs, ballroom gallery C due to extensive water damage to our downstairs space. The gallery is accessible by elevator from every floor within the building and accessible by wheelchair via the police entrance on Fair Street.Within easy walking distance of all the festivities of Cooperstown's Winter Carnival this is a show not to be missed! This highly anticipated exhibit will showcase a diverse array of over one hundred quilts and other quilted items in both traditional and contemporary designs. This year’s collection will exhibit quilts created by many talented men and women ranging from bed quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, pillows, dolls and more! Both old and new quilts will be featured and some will even be for sale. Members of the Fenimore Quilt Club will be present each day to demonstrate quilting techniques and to answer any questions about their craft you might have. This year’s show will also feature a queen size machine raffle quilt made by all the members of the Fenimore Quilt Club! This beautiful basket quilt is made up of machine pieced baskets filled with hand-appliqued flowers, greenery, cats, birds and much more. This handsome bed quilt will be on display for the duration of the show and the winning raffle ticket will be drawn Sunday, February 21. Tickets will be sold for $1 each or 6 for $5 with the proceeds benefiting the Fenimore Quilt Club. In addition to the raffle quilt the Fenimore Quilt Club has been busy sorting donated fabric scraps, pieces and yardage which will be available for sale throughout the show while supplies last. All proceeds from the fabric sales benefit the local Cooperstown Food Bank. Please note that the gallery will be open daily for the duration of the Quilt Show. Gallery Hours: Open Daily 11-4; Sunday 1-4. The CAA is located in the Village Library Building 22 Main Street diagonally across the street from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
