An Artistic Discovery
The Congressional Art Competition
for Otsego County High School Students

spectacular artwork by local high school students

“An Artistic Discovery” is the featured exhibit at the CAA in March each year, displaying artwork submitted by high school students from Otsego County.  We treat this exhibit as the first phase of the official Congressional Art Competition.  The CAA will select 6 pieces to receive Awards of Merit, submitting those pieces to the Congressional Art Competition.   From there, one lucky student will be chosen to represent New York's 19th Congressional District and have their work on display in the corridor leading to the United States Capital!

2021 Announcements:

The CAA will not be holding an in-person exhibit for An Artistic Discovery this year, however, we will be hosting an online exhibit on our website!  Students can fill out the entry form and upload a photo of their submission below!  The online exhibit will be available to view from March 5 - 26, 2021!

How to Participate:

This exhibit is open to any high school student in Otsego County (including home-school families!)  Please read the Entry Guidelines below and then fill out the Entry Form to participate.  Make sure you upload a JPEG of your entry before hitting 'Submit'!  Questions?  Email the CAA at gallery@cooperstownart.com
